The biggest of its kind in the world, the 15,000-strong LED lighting system sits across five levels at a height of 42m. To truly put fans first, we integrated the control of all arbour, roof halo, bowl and architectural facade lighting and digital screens to create one unified experience.

Our CORE system maps complex signals to each LED and two 340sqm super screens, which sit at each stadium end and are some of the largest in Australia. CORE allows the whole stadium to be themed and choreographed, responding intuitively to important fan moments.

As the recipient of 27 awards, “The façade delivers the gravitas of a global city destination without sacrificing user experience. Visitors are drawn to the structure and reap the benefits of the thoughtful, holistic approach to arrival, navigation, experience and departure.”

We wanted the stadium to have a unified visual expression – the video, lights and sports lights all sync to serve the moment. – Bruce Ramus.
